i am an american expat living alone in cagayan de oro city. since everyone asks, ill cover the questions i hear pretty much every time:
yes, i really do live alone, like alone alone (this is, evidently, very shocking to people)... no, i really dont have a filipina girlfriend... no, i dont have any children...
why did i come here? because covid wiped out my business, and i decided i wanted to see more of the world while i was still young enough to do it, AND because i have a inaanak that lives here in cdo (10 years old) that i wanted to be closer to.
how long will i stay? i dont know. for at least a year, possibly longer, possibly forever, but also possibly may move on to europe or south america at some point. cant say for sure.
and most importantly, NO I AM NOT BANK OF AMERICA. sigh. its sad that this even has to be said.
About you
anyone, really. hopefully people who can make good conversation in english (sorry, my bisaya is not very good), and people who would be interested in helping me learn more about CDO and the surrounding area... and if you happen to be into anime or movies, even better, because i hate watching everything alone all the time
